"Life is short, eat dessert first" Buttercake Bakery in Hollywood, CA!!

Yahoooo! I found my pink camera that I thought I lost, which made me so happy! My camera had pictures from 2011 that included my 21st Birthday, DesignerCon convention, and a Yellowcard (with GoRadio opening) concert that my boyfriend and I went to!

The Yellowcard concert that we went to was at the House of Blues on Sunset Blvd in Hollywood! Before the concert, we went walking around on Sunset. While walking around we ate at Carneys, which had yummy hotdogs (not very nutritious lol) and next we wanted dessert.

A ways down on Sunset we found this little yellow bakery called Buttercake Bakery. It was so stinkin cute!
When you walk in it smells soooooo good, like any bakery should smell :). They had display cases with yummy baked goods, and they also had a clear wall so you could see back where they actually make everything. I was in HEAVEN! I could see the many mixers they had, and the ovens, and just EVERYTHING! So, of course my boyfriend and I had to try something! We got a lemon square and a shortbread cookie, and I got some coffee. Everything was so very yummy and I definitely want to go back soon and try the other treats that they had!

This whole day was amazing. The fact that I got to go to a bakery and see two of my favorite bands, and all with the love of my life, was perfect!

I know that this was almost 2 years ago, but I had to share it with you!

Thanks for reading, here are some pictures from that day :)

I hope that everyone has a great day!

Love,

Time for a Fresh Start!

Hello there baking fanatics!

Well, it has been quite some time since I have been sharing my baking experiences and recipes, so I am going to start over. New look. New feel. New Blog.

My friends and family know that I love baking cupcakes and cheesecakes and other yummy treats, but I also love going to different bakeries and trying something special from every one I go to, to give me new ideas. So, with this fresh start on my blog I am going to be posting not only recipes that I have done, but bakeries and cupcake shops I have been to, and certain tricks and tools that I think are worth sharing. I cant wait to be posting more, and giving my readers more excitement and variety. I love anything and everything that has to do with baking, and even more, sharing my experiences with others.

As I am graduating this May (YAY!!) I am going to start many new adventures and hopefully start to come up with my business plan for opening my own bakery someday. I am so excited for what my future has in store, and I cant wait to share my journey with you.

Sincerely,

Your Cupcake Queen
